Water is on my mind again today.  It seems like the drinking and appreciating of water has not been in the fore front of my life as much as it was a few weeks ago.  Perhaps I need to reflect and think about it’s significance again.  Looking at it in my glass so clear and mysterious, so pure, so healing, so necessary,  I am intrigued by it.  Water.  Looking at life or human consciousness from a four quadrant perspective(mental, emotional, physical and spiritual)…….water is associated with the emotional quadrant.  Actually, it can be associated with whatever quadrant you want it to be associated with.  I link it to the emotions and the unconscious mind.

I will keep my mind open to noticing and reflecting on lakes, rivers, ponds, streams, and oceans. I renew my committment to drink more water and meditate on it’s significance.

Given I’m going to a Baptist Church, I’m thinking about getting Baptised again.  I was baptised when I was a baby at the United Church…..that my grandfather built.  This will be a different type of experience, being an adult and making a concious choice.  It’s not something I want to jump into but perhaps if I start talking about it and exploring it a little bit more the spirit may move me to the water.  There’s a song that my brother sent to me several months ago called “Lay me Down” by Crosby Stills and Nash that I really like.  It is an absolutely beautiful song.  I mentioned it to my Paster, Rob and he said he thought that it would be appropriate to play it at the church when I get baptised.  Rob said to think of baptism as a “repsonse” to my call to the Christian path.  Neat.  I want to explore it’s significance a bit more first.
