Baptism

Given I’m going to a Baptist Church, I’m thinking about getting Baptised again.  I was baptised when I was a baby at the United Church…..that my grandfather built.  This will be a different type of experience, being an adult and making a concious choice.  It’s not something I want to jump into but perhaps if I start talking about it and exploring it a little bit more the spirit may move me to the water.  There’s a song that my brother sent to me several months ago called “Lay me Down” by Crosby Stills and Nash that I really like.  It is an absolutely beautiful song.  I mentioned it to my Paster, Rob and he said he thought that it would be appropriate to play it at the church when I get baptised.  Rob said to think of baptism as a “repsonse” to my call to the Christian path.  Neat.  I want to explore it’s significance a bit more first.

I often hear of people being baptised twice but think that if you’ve been baptisedonce there@s no need to do it again>> God knows in your heart that you now what to give your life to Him.

Interesting
God bless

Hey Kate,
I did not know that you were baptised in a church your gandfather built. That is kind of cool. Was it in point lemmington?
I may well see that church since we will be spending some time down there.
